Friday 17th February – PYRAMID VALLEY – WINEMAKER TASTING
“If New Zealand has created a finer Pinot Noir than these two single-vineyard wines from Pyramid Valley Vineyards , I haven’t tasted it” Matt Kramer Wine Spectator
Mike and Claudia Weersing created a marvel when they established Pyramid Valley. Its wines – a mix of estate and grower – push boundaries in all sorts of ways (I’ve heard rumour of some outrageously long ferments), but in their unruliness they are always clean, textural and they have a story to tell. They are the most exotic, thought-provoking wines of New Zealand.
Mike Weersing will be with us this afternoon. He’s captivating when talking about his wines, biodynamics and anything else dear to his heart. Please feel free to come and meet him.
Friday 17th from 4.30pm … all welcome!
