Champagne Duval Leroy Tasting Friday 6th May

Once – not too long ago – there was Moet, Veuve Cliquot, Pol Roger and not much else in Australia. Today we have an extraordinary array of champagnes at our beck and call; grower stuff, organic, single site, massive blends and everything in between.

Duval Leroy is part of the in-between. The house has been producing for more than 150 years and even though it owns 200 hectares of vineyard, it sources grapes from a further 400. Both the house and winemaking are headed by females – Carol Duval-Leroy runs the house while Sandrine Logette-Jardin is in charge of wine production: they are by definition, feminine wines.

Our Friday tasting this week we have the great pleasure of having Clement Gardillou, Brand Ambassador for Champagne Duval Leroy, at Craft to present the wines. Please join us from 4.30pm, it will be a treat. All welcome …
